Kim Kardashian Is Reportedly More 'Upset' About Taylor Swift's Latest Diss Than It Might Appear

Kim Kardashian has shied away from publicly responding to Taylor Swift’s latest diss but a source claims she “isn’t happy” about the ongoing feud. While the reality star told Jimmy Kimmel that “life is good” in a recent interview and has not addressed Swift’s album online, the source alleged she had a different reaction behind the scenes

Fans are speculating that Swift’s song, ‘thanK you aIMee’ from her The Tortured Poets Department album is about Kardashian, who she fell out with years ago over her past feud involving Kardashian’s then-husband Kanye West.

“Kim isn’t happy about it but doesn’t want to add fuel to the fire,” a source told Us Weekly of the 43-year-old Skims founder’s reaction. The source claimed Kardashian is “upset that Taylor is still harboring negative feelings toward her.”

While Kardashian has kept quiet about the song in the days since its April 19 release date, behind the scenes she is reportedly unhappy to see the feud dredged up once again by the 34-year-old singer.

“She thought that their issues were in the past,” the source added. Kardashian reportedly “had no idea she was going to be a part of this narrative,” the insider claimed, though she “did think this could happen at some point knowing how Taylor writes her music.”

As we reported last week, Kardashian hasn’t directly responded to any of Swift’s jabs since 2020 when unedited footage of a 2016 phone call was released that appeared to prove Swift’s claim that she was unaware of West’s “Famous” lyrics that called her out, saying: “I made that b-tch famous.” Years earlier, Kardashian posted an edited clip of the same call between Swift and West while attempting to prove that Swift was aware of West’s other mentions of her in the song.

However, when the 2020 video was released, Kardashian made it clear that she was done commenting on the drama, tweeting: “I didn’t feel the need to comment a few days ago, and I’m actually really embarrassed and mortified to be doing it right now, but because she continues to speak on it, I feel I’m left without a choice but to respond because she is actually lying.”

Meanwhile, Swift went on to mention Kardashian in a 2023 Time Magazine interview, claiming her “career was taken away” from her amid the drama. “You have a fully manufactured frame job, in an illegally recorded phone call, which Kim Kardashian edited and then put out to say to everyone that I was a liar,” she said.

Now, the drama has bubbled up once again thanks to the song’s strategic capitalization and lyrics about a woman who tried to tear Swift down.

Kardashian, however, is reportedly hoping she and the Grammy winner can move on. “That was a different time in Kim’s life and she feels her whole life is different now and she’s in a better place,” the source continued. Kardashian and West divorced in 2021.

Kardashian would “love to mend things between them,” the insider claimed, “Kim truly wishes Taylor the best and hopes they can move on.”
