Kim Kardashian Reportedly Kept New Romance Under Wraps to Avoid the Same Treatment Another A-Lister Got

Despite claiming she wanted to hold off on dating after her brief romance with Pete Davidson, Kim Kardashian is reportedly getting serious with Odell Beckham Jr. However, there are reportedly two major reasons why this reported romance has been so under the radar and full of speculation. Insiders claim one of the biggest reasons is because of fear of Kardashian’s ex-husband Kanye West’s backlash, and another biggie is fear of being labeled a “homewrecker” like quite a few other stars, with the most recent one being Ariana Grande.
“Kim really wanted to keep this romance private for two reasons: One is that he has a one-year-old son with his ex-Lauren Woods. They both wanted to avoid any speculation that he left Lauren for Kim — branding Kim a homewrecker,” the insider said to OK.

Beckham was with his ex Lauren Wood from 2019 to 2023, with the timeline of their exact split being a bit of a mystery. They share one son named Zydn together and have seemingly kept up a good co-parenting relationship. Now, the reason many are confused about the timeline is that Kardashian and Beckham reportedly started dating in the summer of 2023, with the exact timeline also being a bit of a mystery.
We do know that they reportedly started “hanging out” quite soon after his relationship ended, and is allegedly worried about being dubbed a “homewrecker.” Recently, Grande was accused of being a “homewrecker” after her relationship with Ethan Slater came to light, with many blaming her for breaking up his family of three.
These situations may be different, or similar, we don’t know yet; Kardashian, Beckham, and Wood haven’t publicly commented on it, so it’s seemingly all fine.
The insider added, “The second reason is to avoid the backlash from Kanye. After what Kanye put Pete Davidson through, Kim wants to avoid that at all costs. It is only a matter of time now before Kanye says something publicly, but he has no solid proof.” (This is 100 percent a fair fear considering how West has responded in the past to Kardashian’s romances.)
Going back to Beckham and Kardashian: they have a history a few years back. Back in 2016, Kim’s sister Khloe Kardashian and Beckham were photographed together numerous times. They were seen at clubs together, attending Scott Disick’s 33rd birthday party at 1 OAK Las Vegas together, and at Drake’s Memorial Day weekend party. Insiders claimed they were dating, and fans were quick to agree with it. However, Khloe shut the rumors down quickly, per Life and Style.
