UPDATED AT 4:34 P.M. PT: The offensive Kim Kardashian-inspired costume has been yanked from the Costumeish website due to backlash. Costumeish’s founder Johnathon Weeks told TMZ that this is the first time he’s ever removed a costume from his online store and that the six people who purchased it will be refunded.

We are all for a joke at Kim Kardashian’s expense, but is this one really funny at all?

A website is selling a “Parisian Heist Robbery Victim Costume Kit” and while it doesn’t mention the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star by name, it boasts a disturbing photo of a bound-and-gagged Kim K. look-alike to sell it. It comes with a “‘$4 million’ ring,” “fake gag,” “2 inches of robe,” “white sexy robe,” “long black wig,” and “large sunglasses.”

The costume description victim blames the reality star, who is described as “America’s goddess of all things glamorous” and the “Queen of Social Media.” It says she “devoted her life to promoting American decadence, youth, and hedonism, but all that flashy living caught up with her one night in Paris when armed men bound her, stole her jewelry, and her peace of mind.”

Reviews of the costume, which retails for $69.99, are split based on its two-and-a-half star rating. One person against the costume calls it “disgusting,” noting, “I’m not a fan of Kim Kardashian, but this is … not funny at all. The situation Kim was in shouldn’t be a joke to you or anybody. Just because she is famous doesn’t mean she is any less human (unlike you disgusting people).”

It has supporters though, including one who calls it “hilarious & fun!” They write, “These people have flashed every second of their lives on TV and the Internet. THEY made themselves into what they’ve become a very public family & this is what you get because of that. If they don’t like it then they should cancel their TV show & Instagram accounts etc.”

This costume isn’t that big of a surprise as Kim is one of the biggest celebrities in the world and her robbery — by five armed gunmen, dressed as police officers, in Kanye West’s Paris apartment — has dominated the news this month. However, she was the victim of a crime — the theft of $11 million in jewelry — that had her begging for her life and by all accounts she has been left devastated by it. The line between reel and real can be blurry for Kim, but not in this case. She is a victim of a terrifying crime.

All that said, something tells us this won’t be the most inappropriate costume we see on Halloween. God bless ’Merica.
