Kim Kardashian hasn't passed the bar yet, but she'll play a lawyer for Ryan Murphy

Hot on the heels of "American Horror Story: Delicate," the multihyphenate star is reuniting with the showrunner for a new Hulu legal drama.

Kim Kardashian is focused on the law. As the ultra-famous reality TV star and entrepreneur continues to prepare for the California bar exam, she's now set to play a high-powered lawyer on the small screen.

EW has confirmed that Kardashian will star in a new Hulu legal drama overseen by Ryan Murphy. She and her mother, Kris Jenner, will also executive-produce alongside Murphy. Deadline Hollywood first reported the news.

The as-yet-untitled show will reportedly be "a high-end, glossy, and sexy adult procedural," with Kardashian's character described as "Los Angeles' most successful divorce lawyer and the owner of an all-female law firm." TMZ speculates that the character might be based on celebrity divorce attorney Laura Wasser, who handled Kardashian's own split from Ye (formerly Kanye West), which would give Kardashian some more firsthand experience to draw from.

This new series will mark the second collaboration between Murphy and Kardashian, following the latter's breakout performance in American Horror Story: Delicate as cutthroat publicist Siobhan Corbyn. Kardashian's involvement in Murphy's long-running horror anthology series was apparently inspired by her well-received turn as Saturday Night Live host in 2021.

Kardashian announced in a 2019 Vogue cover story that she was studying to become a lawyer (following in the footsteps of her late father, Robert Kardashian) after getting involved in criminal justice reform. Her unconventional path involves a multiyear law apprenticeship and two bar exams. She passed the first, a California-specific test also known as the "baby bar," in 2021, and is planning to take the second in 2025.
