Kim Kardashian just got tricked into using TikTok’s viral aging filter.

Thinking that her makeup artist Ariel Tejada was taking a selfie video, the 43-year-old SKIMS founder smiles at the camera before realizing Tejada was using the aging filter. “Hahaha she had no clue it was gonna start aging her,” the 28-year-old wrote on the video he posted on TikTok.

The filter, which ages anyone who tries it by 50 years in a matter of seconds, began aging Kardashian’s face from 2023 onward. Before the filter could transform her face for the full five decades, the mom of four put her hand up at the 2065 mark, stopping the aging effect before viewers could see her 2073 version.

As of Dec. 21, the TikTok video has 10.2 million views and thousands of comments, many from people who pointed out that the filter made her resemble her mom, Kris Jenner.

“She’s legit morphing into Kris Jenner,” one TikTok user wrote. Another person commented, “You made her fear come true too quick.”

When asked in 2017 if she feared aging, Kardashian admitted to The Cut that she does.

“Every single day,” said Kardashian, who was 36 at the time. “It’s obviously about the wisdom. We were having dinner with my mom last night for her birthday. We were talking about the same thing. There’s a sense of calmness and wisdom you get from life. But it also just sucks. There’s no easy way. … I would take aging over not being here.”

Five years later in 2022, Kardashian’s fear seemed to have subsided.

“I’m at peace with not being perfect and I wasn’t like that before,” she told Allure. “I hate my hands — they’re wrinkly and gross. But I’ve lived life and I’ve changed so many diapers with these hands and I’ve snuggled my babies with these hands, so I’m okay with them.

“[Getting older] doesn’t mean that I won’t strive for perfection, but you get to a point where you’re like, ‘Okay, my health is more important than anything else. … It’s hard to explain because I am at peace, but I would still do anything to look and feel youthful.”

Kardashian previously — and willingly — tried a different aging filter with her daughter North West in July. They posted the video on their joint TikTok account @KimAndNorth, which now has 17.7 million followers.

Other celebrities have tried aging filters this year, including Kardashian’s sister Kylie Jenner, Today with Hoda & Jenna co-host Jenna Bush Hager and Friends alum Courteney Cox.

“I don’t like it,” Kylie, 26, said on TikTok after posting a video of her own. “I don’t like it at all. No. No.”
