Killer Mike is clarifying his alleged affiliation with Cesar Pina after a video circulated on social media showing the two men linking up. A clip shared on X finds the rapper in his hometown of Atlanta with Pina, discussing real estate and more.

“We’re on Martin Luther King [Drive], right in Adamsville. I grew up in these apartments doing some things that should’ve got my a** locked up forever. But now I’m here today learning how to invest. So Cesar, what we got?” asks the rapper.

“We got a 28-unit building. Looks like a home run to me. 28 two-bedrooms, town house-style. We see opportunity out here. That’s all we see,” responded Pina, assuring he could own the property for under market value.

As the investigation into Pina develops and he faces federal wire fraud charges, Killer Mike shared the video on his own platform to explain his cheerful appearance next to the alleged Ponzi schemer.

“A mutual friend told me I should meet him so I did,” he explained. “We did no business, I never endorsed him and if u watch the video I just looked at some sh*t he showed me and got outta there.”

Pina was arrested in New Jersey earlier this month and was released after posting an $1 million secured bond. He stands accused of “falsely representing the nature of [his] business and lying about potential investment returns to bilk unsuspecting victims out of millions.”

Although The Breakfast Club host DJ Envy has been accused of profiting from, or participating in Pina’s scam, he has not been named as a defendant. His lawyer Massimo D’Angelo claims the radio personality also fell victim to Pina’s scheme and assured his cooperation.

“Listen, so Cesar and myself did seminars,” explained DJ Envy. “I didn’t see a dollar of return. For anyone to say that I was involved, that’s totally not true,” he said.

Pina also shared his own outlook on DJ Envy’s involvement.

“DJ Envy has nothing to do with any of these 20 lawsuits of these people who are suing me… and it f**king sucks bro,” explained Pina on a social media live stream. “I got all the haters on my page saying ‘you’re going to jail, pay the people.’ But there’s two, three sides to the story.” He also explained, “He’s not a victim. He was my partner, he was an investor.”

If found guilty, Pina faces a 20-year prison sentence and a fine of at least $250,000.
