Kid Rock’s latest interview featured offensive actions from the musician, with details of racism and threatening behavior, according to Rolling Stone journalist, David Peisner.

The RS profile, written by Peisner and published on Sunday (May 19), describes a setting where the journo says he tried to end the awkwardly hostile conversation by leaving early.

The story begins with Kid Rock, legal name Robert “Bob” Ritchie introducing his staff, a person allegedly named “Uncle Tom.”

“That’s his real name, by the way,” Ritchie laughs, adding “Don’t give me some sh*t in the article.”

As the conversation continued, the “Born Free” performer allegedly used the n-word and flashed a firearm, bragging to Peisner about his arsenal.

Kid Rock and Donald Trump
Republican presidential candidate and former U.S. President Donald Trump (L) smiles alongside Kid Rock as they attend the UFC 296: Edwards vs. Covington event at T-Mobile Arena on December 16, 2023 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“He’s sitting in a dark leather chair, shouting at me about something or other, when he reaches behind the seat, pulls out a black handgun, and waves it around to make some sort of point,” Peisner writes. He continues to elaborate that Ritchie shouted, “And I got a (expletive) gun right here if I need it! I got them everywhere!”

Ritchie also allegedly uses the n-word when discussing Detroit rapper Trick Trick supporting his allegiance to former President Donald Trump.

“It’d be easy to label this as the rantings of a drunk racist, but as with everything that Ritchie does, it’s hard to know how calculated it all is,” writes Peisner.

“Is he just trying to get a reaction? Is he begging to be pilloried when this story comes out so he can launch into a very public tirade against ‘cancel culture‘? Is this all just a play for more attention?”

Describing an intense moment, Peisner asserts his attempt to leave was hindered by Ritchie. Peisner recalls them being “chest to chest,” before being taken to leave the property. The entire experience ends in a handshake before Ritchie calls Peisner “gay.”

“Just write the most horrific article about me. Do it. It helps me,” asked the Grammy-nominated performer.
