Kid Cudi has revealed he boycotted Get Out after being passed on for a role in the popular film.

During a Q&A with his fans on Friday (Sept. 8), Cudi was asked about a film he wished he was cast in. The Cleveland entertainer bared his soul to his supporters, being honest with his admission. He brought up Jordan Peele’s acclaimed psychological horror film and expressed that he initially auditioned for the project.

Unfortunately, he didn’t get the role, resulting in the artist refusing to watch the completed version in theaters. “I wish I got Get Out. I auditioned, and Jordan was impressed, and I thought I ate that sh*t up,” he recalled. “I was so salty I didnt get it that I didn’t even go see it in the theater when it was poppin. I watched it a year later at home pissed about that. I was sick haha but to be real, Daniel was the best choice hes a master and did a phenominal job.”

Elsewhere during his Q&A, Cudder spoke about the artists that he’s “intimidated” by in the studio. He mentioned JID, Denzel Curry, and Travis Scott as artists who have left him shook from their work in the booth. When asked if he has plans to work with Curry on a new song, the former G.O.O.D Music artist expressed he’d have to find the right song.

“Denzel is intimidating and im tryna find the right song he wont ruin me on [sic],” he said with a crying emoji. “Same with [JID], he’s intimidating I’d have to find it!!” He then elaborated on Scott’s mastery behind the boards and how it impacted him. He even called the Houston native his “favorite person to collab with.”

“Travis is intimidating too but we have such chemistry and we create in harmony. It’s easy really. My favorite person to collab with. When we did The Scotts, man, it was a magical moment. We knew that sh*t was outta here,” he recalled.
