There is nothing better than a crisp new pair of Air Jordans to match the fall weather, and you can count on the Jordan brand to deliver the classics all year-round but during the fourth quarter especially. The latest release in their Jordan 4 silhouette is the “Red Cement” offering, which takes inspiration from the OG cement pair in black/white. Originally released in 1989, the Air Jordan 4 was the first global drop of the iconic franchise and debuted during one of the many peaks in Michael Jordan’s incredible NBA career. Let’s get into this week’s  “Kickin’ Facts” review.

Air Jordan 4 Red Cement

The AJ4 “Red Cement” features a primarily white leather upper alongside matching white netting and laces with black accents overlapping along the sole, eyestays, and lining. Its naming quality and defining red hue appear along the midsole, support wings, heel tab, and even on the Jumpman logo on its tongue. Finishing off the design are black insoles, a multicolored outsole, a black Jumpman at its back heel, and a black Flight sneaker box. Notably missing are the Air Jordan hang tag and retro cards from the glory days of early releases.

More than a few Jordan purists were turned off by the missing Nike Air logo at the back heel, which was a staple on the Tinker Hatfield original design, and by the many delays that have plagued the Jordan brand all year. However, despite the hiccups, 2023 has proven to be very popular for the Jordan 4 silhouette with four releases before this one.
