Khrysis And KEL Do The Knowledge In “Live And Learn” Music Video
Khrysis and KEL do the knowledge in the visual for the tandem’s single “Learn And Live,” the first release from the pair’s new album Destined 4 Greatness.
The video captures the renowned producer and emcee in the comfort of the studio, as KEL lays down vocals while Khrysis works the boards. Rapping atop a crisp backdrop scored by Khrysis, KEL laments the sign of the times and shifting tides of life itself. “Born an Aquarius/ Life is crazy, the game’s hilarious,” he muses while holding court in his rural stomping grounds, urging listeners to adopt a state of perseverance and defiance in the face of adversity.
Destined 4 Greatness is the first full-length release from Khrysis’ new independent label BoardRooom Music, with KEL serving as its flagship artist. Entirely produced by Khrysis, the project includes eight tracks, with “Cyclops,” “MSG,” and “How Long” ranking among the album’s winning moments.
A member of the Justus League, Khrysis first came to prominence during the ’00s after working with various rap artists from North Carolina, including Little Brother members Phonte and Big Rapper Pooh. Joining 9th Wonder’s Jamla Records, Khrysis bolstered his resume with credits on projects from Mac Miller, Anderson .Paak, Sean Price, Masta Ace, and Jean Grae. In 2021, he released his latest album The Hour of Khrysis, which included features from De La Soul, Busta Rhymes, Pharoahe Monch, and Del the Funky Homosapien.
Earlier this year, Khrysis worked with frequent collaborator Conway The Machine on the Buffalo, N.Y., rapper’s Won’t He Do It album. The two also worked together on Conway’s From King to a God album, producing the song “Jesus Khrysis.”
