Khloé Kardashian reveals the sex of her baby and is kinda bummed about it

On the season finale of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, the gender of Khloé Kardashian’s firstborn was officially revealed.

Khloé agreed to let her sister, Kylie Jenner, find out the baby’s gender from the doctor first, because Kylie wanted to be the one to reveal the news to Khloé. “I am finally over my first trimester. I’m onto my second,” said Khloé. “So, I’m kind of out of that danger zone, as they say. And I just feel really good right now. I am at the place where I’m able to take a blood test to find out the sex of our baby. So Kylie wants Doctor “A” to call her to give her the gender, and then Kylie’s gonna call me and reveal the gender to me.” Khloé was feeling serious anxiety as she awaited a phone call from her youngest sister.

When Kylie finally called, Khloé found out that she is having a girl, which was both shocking and disappointing to her. “When you have your mind made up as to, like, what you’re having, like, everyone told me, ‘You’re gonna feel what you’re having, and you’ll just kind of know,’ and then when you find out it’s the complete opposite, it’s just a shock,” said Khloé. “I just was convinced that I was having a boy, so to be having a girl, it’s just like, OK, that wasn’t what I thought was going on.”

Khloé’s boyfriend, Tristan Thompson, however, was much more excited. Khloé explained how important it was to be able to reveal her baby’s gender on her own terms, since she was robbed of being able to reveal her pregnancy to the public when TMZ leaked the news, as seen on last week’s episode. “Everyone is suspecting that I’m pregnant, and when that rumor came out, it really took away the opportunity that I got to tell a lot of my friends. So, me being able to know the gender before anybody else, and that I get to share it with Tristan on my own, like, that’s really special to us.” Khloé surprised Tristan by filling a room in their house with pink balloons and when he walked into the surprise, he shouted, “Oh my God! Oh! My vision was right. I knew it!”

Even though, deep down, Khloé had wanted a boy, she, eventually, got over the initial shock and even tweeted during the finale:

Congratulations, Khloé! We can’t wait to meet your baby girl.
