Backlash From Fans
Fans have been vocal in their disappointment that Khloe Kardashian is keeping Tristan Thompson in her life in any capacity. Thompson repeatedly cheated on her before, during, and after her pregnancy with their daughter, True, and has been showing repeated interest in getting back in life, perhaps even romantically.
In response to the feedback from fans of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Khloe posted a lengthy response on her Instagram Story on Thursday.
"I don’t hold any negative or hateful feelings towards ANYONE! We are all humans trying to figure out this thing called life. Who am I to condemn anyone else?"
It's Her Choice
She continued, explaining that it is her choice and her choice alone to forgive Thompson.
"Yes, I’m allowed to feel hurt and pain. It would be unnatural for me to pretend as if I don’t. Personally, I don’t want to be carrying around a hateful heart. I crave peace in my life. Me holding onto hate is going to hurt me in the end. I have chosen to not pollute my heart and my energy by holding onto anything negative. I am allowed to forgive. Forgiveness is actually a strength and not a weakness. I am allowed to forgive people but still not accept their behaviors. I’m also allowed to protect my space. I am allowed to choose who I want in my life and who I do not."
She Craves Peace
According to Kardashian, she craves peace and wants only light for those in her life.
I have chosen to NOT pollute my heart and my energy bu holding onto anything negative. I am allowed to forgive. Forgiveness is a strength and not a weakness. I am allowed to forgive people but still not accept their behaviors. I’m allowed to accept my space. I am allowed to choose who I want in my life and who I do not.
I’m also allowed to wish people well and sincerely mean it. Doesn’t mean I have to be their best friend. I want nothing but beautiful blessings for EVERYBODY that has ever been in my life. Regardless of what they have done or not done to me. I want people to be kinder in this world. We are all here to live and experience life. Therefore we may make mistakes along the way and if we are lucky we will grow from every mistake we make. If we are blessed enough, we get to grow to be incredibly kind and beautiful people. I wish that for everybody in the world."
Dedicated To Co-Parenting
Khloe has spoken in the past about how proud she is about how she and Thompson co-parent True, while also acknowledging how difficult it is.
"Oh, it's hard. It's not easy for me. You know, it would be easier for me to keep my daughter away... but he never hurt True. Him and I have our own relationship and then Tristan and True have theirs, and I will never come in between that. I don't believe in that.
I want to show my daughter it's OK and it's a beautiful thing to also forgive her dad. He's a great person. Maybe him and I weren't compatible in that way, but that's OK. I always want True to be surrounded by love and I know babies feel energy, we feel energy and I just want her to always feel bliss as much as I can."
