Khloe Kardashian Denies Wearing Real Animal Fur, Social Media Proves Otherwise
The Kardashian-Jenner family has been in the headlines lately for the alleged hypocrisy regarding their stance on the tragic Australian wildfires and outcry to save the animals from devastation, while still rocking clothing items that feature real fur.
Kylie Jenner was recently slammed for supporting this cause, while simultaneously wearing mink fur Louis Vuitton slippers. Now, Khloe Kardashian is receiving the same treatment from people on social media, as they have been able to call her out, despite her denial that she has actually worn real animal fur. However, the exchange went both ways and became quite hostile.

The Alleged Hypocrisy of Khloe Kardashian
Khloe Kardashian has been using her platform to spread awareness about the Australian wildfires, much like countless other celebrities. Just recently, she posted to her Instagram story an image that read 'Pray for Australia' alongside the caption 'The world needs to wake up'.
People on social media were quite methodical in their research, as one user was able to dig up a picture from Kardashian in October where she was dressed up as the One Hundred and One Dalmatians villain, Cruella de Vil.
The user posted the picture with the purpose of exposing the hypocrisy by Kardashian. With the photo, they wrote, "So sad when animals die during fire, much better when they're anally and vaginally electrocuted and they're (sic) skin is ripped off their bodies (sometimes even when their conscious!) for nothing other than your vanity."
Kardashian Defends Herself on Social Media
Kardashian was quick to defend herself in a now-deleted comment saying, "I am wearing a Halloween costume. It's not real fur. But keep spreading your vile hate instead of focusing on real issues."
She continued, "Why must people assume and attack so quickly? You have some clear frustrations darling and they are completely misdirected. My advice to you would be, don't attack people in general."
"But if you choose to waste your energy on attacking a complete stranger then at least know all of your information prior. Happy 2020." Kardashian would go on to regret those comments, as people on social media went directly to the source of the Halloween costume image.
Digging Up Old Photos from the Designer
The designer of the costume, Daniel's Leather, had their own copy of the image, naturally, but posted the various types of fur that were components of the outfit. Those included hashtags of sherling coat, sheepskin jacket, fur parka, and furrier of the stars.
Ironically, Kardashian had campaigned with PETA against wearing animal fur in their 'Go Naked' campaign. She did sever ties with the organization in 2008, however, due to her sister, Kim, being 'floured' on the red carpet of an awards event by a PETA supporter.
"We all need to practice what we preach," Kardashian said in an issued statement. "I will still continue to NOT wear fur, but I will no longer support PETA. Bullying and harassment is NEVER a solution, and I won't be a part of any organization that thinks otherwise
The Precedent That Has Been Set, Moving Forward
It's worth noting that there have been arguments proposed by others on social media focusing on the cognitive dissonance surrounding the killing of animals for food versus their slaughter for vanity and clothing options. The overall opinions on the matter remain mixed, though.
Regardless, it's safe to say that people are not going to tolerate hypocrisy when it comes to celebrities posting support for the Australian wildfires and the awareness that it needs, while they sport outfits made of animal fur for vanity purposes.
