Khloé Kardashian criticized for letting daughter play in her insanely expensive Birkin bag: 'She’s sitting in what's my college tuition'

Khloé Kardashian fans agree: Her daughter, True, is super cute. But seeing that super-cute baby play in Mama’s super-expensive Birkin bag has some, well, super depressed.

While there are many sweet comments on the Instagram photo Koko posted of baby True grinning as she chills in a purse that reportedly costs $60,000 and up (“precious cargo,” “best carry-on ever” and “I mean, why bother with a stroller?! This is brilliant,” among them), seeing a drooly, barfy baby playing with something with that price tag is the epitome of excess — and some of her dolls let her know about it.

“She’s sitting in what’s my college tuition,” wrote follower @joddz.

“I’ve never even seen a Birkin and this baby is SITTING in one,” posted @eleenajouas.

@katiemccallister wrote to her friend, “Baby chilling in a bag that costs more than our cars.”

“This bag cost more than some houses & you but your baby in it,” put @adeline.ash.

“Wow I’m poor,” wrote @redeyegoddess.

“Baby in a birkin that costs more than my entire life,” @alishiaakhtar commented.

The extravagance of the Kardashians is nothing new — this is part of what made them famous. Their homes, cars, clothes and accessories all come with giant price tags, and they’ve been showing them off for years. Khloé actually sported this bag during Season 12 of the show — in 2016 — making it an “old” accessory. According to reports, this particular Birkin style — genuine crocodile-skin — retails for upwards of $60,000. However, this is significantly cheaper than another style of the bag from that time that sold at auction for $379,261.

And if we’re talking dollars and cents, Khloé isn’t even the wealthiest of the Kardashians. Little sister Kylie Jenner is poised to be the family’s first billionaire. According to estimates from earlier this year, Khloé is worth approximately $40 million. Forbes estimated that she earned $15 million in 2016 alone, so a $60,000 bag was no big deal.

Meanwhile, Kim, who is worth an estimated $350 million, was criticized earlier this week for traveling with Kanye West in a private 747 jet, which typically accommodates up to 660 people.

Ah, those Kardashians.
