Khloé Kardashian Knows She 'Needs to Be Super Picky' About Her Next Boyfriend: Source
Khloé Kardashian is ready for Mr. Right.
A source tells PEOPLE that Kardashian is doing much better since news broke in February that Tristan Thompson, the father of her 11-month-old daughter True, had hooked up with her longtime family friend, 21-year-old Jordyn Woods.
“Khloé is great. Her heartbreak seems to have passed and her mood is much lighter,” the source says. “Although she really wanted Tristan to come around, grow up and be a man, she seems to have realized that she’s much better off now. Everyone is happy to see her happier.”

According to the source, Kardashian, 34, hasn’t jumped back into the dating scene yet, but will “eventually.”
“Khloé isn’t dating, but at least she’s able to talk and joke about dating,” the source says. “She realizes with True around now, she just needs to be super picky.”
“True will always be Khloé’s life and number one,” the source adds. “Khloé is obsessed with her little girl. She really is the most wonderful mom.”
Kardashian briefly addressed her split from Thompson on Monday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! after host Jimmy Kimmel teasingly asked whether it was time to “stop dating basketball players.” (Prior to Thompson, Kardashian dated James Harden and later accused him of cheating on her, and prior to Harden, Kardashian was married to Lamar Odom; they officially divorced in 2016 after multiple rumors of infidelity and drug abuse on his part.)
“I don’t know. I like what I like. What can I say?” Kardashian said with a laugh. “I do agree that I should have listened to MJ, my grandmother, that I should probably start to date accountants, or something like that.”

The Woods scandal wasn’t the first time Kardashian had to endure her boyfriend’s alleged infidelities in the public eye: The basketball player, 28, made headlines almost exactly one year ago when photos and videos surfaced of him getting close to other women just days before Kardashian gave birth to their daughter.

A source told PEOPLE last month that Kardashian “needs time” to heal before letting another man into her life.
“It’s going to take so long for her to rebuild trust with anyone,” the source said. “It will take her a long time to date again. A significant amount of time.”
