Almost a year after Kevin Spacey was found not guilty of sex crimes, Channel 4 and Max in the U.S. are set to air testimony from more men detailing their experiences with the double-Oscar winner.

Channel 4’s Spacey Unmasked, which was announced two years ago but has gone quiet since, has dropped trailer and will launch in 10 days’ time. Produced by Oscar-nominee Mike Lerner and ex-Channel 4 News boss Dorothy Byrne, the two-parter will air on Monday 6 and Tuesday 7 May. It has been picked up by Max and ID in the U.S. following a deal between Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) and distributor All3Media International.

Channel 4 said Spacey Unmasked “investigates Spacey’s conduct and talks to multiple men unconnected to [last year’s] case about their experiences with Kevin Spacey, almost all of whom have never spoken before.”

The doc will examine a man who was once one of the most admired and respected actors in the world. Featuring never-seen-before interviews and archive, Spacey Unmasked spotlights his life from childhood to early success on Broadway and subsequent meteoric rise to stardom, before his fall.

Last year, the House of Cards and American Beauty star was found not guilty on nine charges at London’s Southwark Crown Court, including sexual assault, which were alleged to have been committed between 2001 and 2013 and relate to four men.

All3Media International is handling international rights to the series and secured multiple pre-sales, including with WBD for ID and Max. Other territories to have picked up the doc include HBO Max in Poland, FTA HBO Max in Spain, for FTA networks and discovery+ in Italy and Germany, for Max and discovery+ in Latin America, and for Three Now in New Zealand.  In addition, PSBs including DR Denmark, YLE Finland, NRK Norway, SVT Sweden and VRT Belgium will premier in their territories – with RTL Netherlands and Nine Network Australia having rights in their countries.

Spacey Unmasked is directed and produced by Katherine Haywood and EPs Byrne and Lerner. It is produced by Roast Beef Productions in association with All3 Media International. Roast Beef Productions is the Oscar-nominated production company behind films such as The Square, Hell and Back Again, Pussy Riot: A Punk Prayer and Who is Ghislaine Maxwell?
