- OK, just relax, breathe. Remember, take it easy. I love you. I'll be right there, OK? I love you.

- I love you, too.

- OK, I love you.

- Bye, baby.

- We practiced this 1,000 times. Be great. How hard can it be?

KEVIN POLOWY: Ben Affleck's back for this one. He's your buddy. You were just at his wedding.

KEVIN SMITH: Yeah, yeah.

KEVIN POLOWY: There's a theory floating around the internet and also my office that Jen wore the "Jersey Girl" dress?

KEVIN SMITH: I don't think it's the "Jersey Girl"-- it's certainly not the dress that she wore when they got married in "Jersey Girl" because there's like a sequence where, I think there's a shot in the movie of it, but like there was a whole wedding sequence and stuff. Or maybe it's not even in the movie. Maybe that wedding, the shot was out.

KEVIN POLOWY: I think it was cut.

KEVIN SMITH: It was cut all together.

KEVIN POLOWY: Yeah.

KEVIN SMITH: So I don't think she wore that, but like there was an artwork that we did for the movie that she was wearing a dress that she wore in the very first scene in the movie. Maybe it was that. I didn't ask. When I saw them, I wasn't like, hey, man, can you settle the internet for me? Like this would be good for my brand if I could tell people and stuff. I was just so overwhelmed by the wedding itself.

I'm a big fat romantic at heart and stuff, and so I love love. And they've got a fantastic love story that now has this beautiful ending, like not ending, the beginning almost. Like they stuck the landing, closed the circle so to speak. So I was going by virtue of the fact that like, yay, I get to see what we almost saw like many years ago. Good for these kids. They figured it out.

What I got, though, was like profoundly moving. We got a show that a lot of people pay cash money to go see a movie that makes them feel that good, to makes them believe in love, or overpay to go see a Broadway show that like makes them like feel yeah, that's what it's like. That's what gives me something to look forward to, gives you something to hope for. We got it for free, man. We just went and watched our friend get married. And it was one of the most profoundly [BLEEP] beautiful moments of my life, and it didn't even happen to me.

It's his life and her life together and stuff, but I known this cat going on 27 years. We met when he came in to audition for "Mallrats" and stuff, and then we became friends. And he's one of my favorite people on the planet, one of my favorite artists, one of my favorite writers. That's why I was so blissful during their wedding because they wrote vows together, and he wrote a big speech. And I was just like, oh, I'll listen to Ben Affleck read his speech all day long, but I've seen him be happy. You know, this was a guy who won Oscars.

We can all see it. Go on the internet. When they won for "Good Will Hunting," that's one of the happiest moments in my [BLEEP] life. If you want to see the definition of happiness, watch Ben and Matt as they're holding their Oscars, and trying to spit through all their thanks, and stuff like that. That all being said, man, I had never seen a human being, let alone him, as happy as he was when he was standing there, and she's walking up the aisle. It was--

KEVIN POLOWY: That was it.

KEVIN SMITH: They hadn't even started yet. Like they were just playing music, and it was just him. And it was moving. I was bawling from that moment forward.

KEVIN POLOWY: I mean, let's face it. Who wouldn't be that happy to marry Jennifer Lopez, but--

KEVIN SMITH: I agree 100%, but like, look, being an old school Ben Affleck fan, I would say the reverse is true, which is like Jennifer Lopez is one of the luckiest people on the planet. She just [BLEEP] got Ben Affleck. Ben Affleck is a catch.

- I love you. We have to go now.

- OK.

- OK?

- I love you.

- All right, let's go.

- OK.

- OK?

- Just give me 2 minutes.
