Kevin Hart Shows Off Favorite Car, Races Rallycross on ‘Top Gear’

Kevin Hart got his motor running when he stopped by the UK’s Top Gear. The movie star and comedian showed off his car collection and did a timed lap around the show’s new rally track.

Hart has made millions of dollars over the course of his career and one of his passions is cars, so it stands to reason that he has amassed a pretty extensive car collection. While his first car was a beat-up Pontiac Trans Am, he now boasts of owning several Mercedes G65’s, a Ferrari 458 Spider, and a heavily modified Jeep Rubicon. But Hart’s favorite car happens to also be his father’s favorite: a 1966 Pontiac GTO. Hart recently had the car restored, and he calls it “Dad,” but he joked, “It was kind of a hypocrite move, ’cause my dad came to my house — he’s like, ‘Can I drive it?’ And I said, ‘Absolutely not.’”

Hart then did a timed lap around the show’s rally track, registering a decent time of 1:57.7, which he thought it was pretty fast. “[I] ate that track up!” he gloated, adding, “I made the track my b****!”

Unfortunately, Hart didn’t record the fastest lap time — in fact, he was the third-slowest celebrity around the track since it was modified. But he shouldn’t feel too bad as he was more than 13 seconds faster than bicycle and public transportation fan Jesse Eisenberg.

Top Gear airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on BBC America.
