‘Kevin Hart Presents: Hart Of The City’ Renewed For Season 2 At Comedy Central

Comedy Central has renewed Kevin Hart Presents: Hart Of The City for a second season. A fresh round of eight episodes is now set to premiere this year. The move comes ahead of the Season 1 finale Sunday night.

The series follows Hart as he seeks out the fresh voices in different cities’ stand-up scenes. Each episode features sets from a different group of local comedians, with interstitial segments featuring Hart and the comics discussing the comedy climate in their city. The first season visited Atlanta, Houston, Chicago, Sacramento, Miami, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia and Birmingham.

Hart is executive producer along with Dave Becky of 3 Arts Entertainment, Leland “Pookey” Wigington and Joey Wells. Harry Ratchford is co-producer and Jonas Larsen and JoAnn Grigioni oversee for Comedy Central.

Hart already is signed to launch another stand-up series at Comedy Central to top a full plate that includes on the TV side BET’s Real Husbands Of Hollywood. In film, his latest stand-up concert feature Kevin Hart: What Now? bowed in October and has grossed $23.5 million domestic.He’s currently filming the Jumanji redo for Sony opposite Dwayne Johnson.

“We are pushing Kevin to develop a stronger work ethic,” Comedy Central president Kent Alterman said.
