Tom Brady was the main character on Sunday (May 5), but not as the lead scorer during an NFL game. The former star quarterback subjected himself to dozens of brutal jokes during The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady, a comedy special aired live on Netflix.

Hosted by Kevin Hart at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, Calf., the 46-year-old was the target of roasters including Kim Kardashian, Randy Moss, Sam Jay, Rob Gronkowski, Bill Belichick, and more, who offered commentary on his divorce, alleged plastic surgery, financial decisions, football legacy, and more.

“I’ve never seen Inglewood so white,” joked Hart as the jokes began.

“You know, Tom, this is crazy because, for more than 20 years, Tom has ruined Sundays for football fans all over the country,” the 44-year-old joked, referring to Brady’s NFL career which includes several unpredictable comebacks, hail Mary passes, and 7 Super Bowl wins.

“But tonight, well, tonight we’re gonna ruin yours, Tom. I’m gonna ruin your fu**ing Sunday.”

Standout jokes came from comedians and former athletes, alike.

“I know there’s going to be a lot of jokes about me being gay for Tom,” detailed Brady’s former teammate Julian Edelman. “Well, let me set the record straight. Those balls weren’t going to deflate themselves.”

“I’ll tell you what you deflated, my legacy. I want my ring,” quipped Randy Moss. “Drew Bledsoe was in the freakin’ hospital, and he has a Super Bowl ring. Nate Ebner… who the f**k is Nate Ebner? He has three Super Bowl rings.”

As with any roast, the jokesters were also the victims of comedic outbursts with jokes throughout the affair on Hart’s height and movie catalog, Gronkowski’s intelligence level, and Belichick’s scandals.

“You really gotta hand it to Kevin Hart — because he can’t reach,” teased comedian Nikki Glaser.

“No one works harder than this man. Do you know that every morning, Kevin wakes up at 4 a.m. to make a shi**y movie?” she continued. “No, I love your movies. Or, as I call them, short films. I’m kidding, I hate them.”

As a good sport, Brady was able to dish out jokes to his stage mates, as well as himself.

“Remember deflategate? The NFL spent $20 million and found that it was more probable than not that I was generally aware that someone may have deflated my footballs. You could have just given me the $20 million, and I would have just told you I fu**ing did it,” joked the five-time Super Bowl MVP.

The comedic event comes as part of the 2024 Netflix Is a Joke Fest, taking place in the greater Los Angeles area through May 12. The multi-day affair hosts more than 400 live stand-up shows across 35-plus venues with several being filmed for the streamer or aired live.
