Hartbeat, Kevin Hart’s entertainment company, has hired two new senior executives.

Janina Lundy, former head of emerging audience development and marketing for Prime Video and Amazon Studios, will serve as Hartbeat’s executive vp, head of marketing and brand strategy. Before working for Amazon, Lundy worked at BET Networks, where she ran marketing campaigns, supervised partnerships and oversaw operations, marketing and business strategy for BET+. She will now be responsible for marketing Hartbeat’s brands, including Hartbeat, Laugh Out Loud and Women Write Now, as well as growing brand strategy. Puchalsky will oversee Pulse’s partnerships and brand offerings, which include creative campaign collaboration, development and execution with clients such as Sam’s Club and AT&T.

The two hires come as Hartbeat, which launched in April 2022 as the merger of Hart’s two production companies, Laugh Out Loud and HartBeat Productions, continues to ramp up production. In 2023, the company has released 16 projects, with more than 70 in development. The company also comprises Pulse, as well as Hartbeat Studios and a live events business, including Hartbeat Experience Africa, which debuted in the past year.

“We are thrilled to welcome Janina and Adam to our team. Bringing on two powerhouses in the marketing and branded partnership space positions us to further maximize Hartbeat’s brand presence, while scaling Pulse’s offering as a branded entertainment studio, marketing consultancy, and influencer network,” said Hartbeat CEO Thai Randolph. “Janina’s exceptional talent for super-serving high-growth audiences and building entertainment brands, combined with Adam’s global storytelling expertise and deep commitment to brand partnerships will enrich our team and bring significant value to our team and partners.”

Puchalsky will be based in New York City, while Lundy will be based in Los Angeles.
