Kevin Hart explains fallout, reconciliation from cheating scandal: 'It was a cold house'

In September, Kevin Hart posted an emotional video on Instagram where he appeared to apologize for cheating on his wife. The video coincided with news that he was reportedly being extorted over a sex tape shot in Las Vegas.

Recently, Hart talked with The Breakfast Club for nearly an hour about his alleged infidelity — although he never called it that outright.

“That was my f***up,” he said. “I rightfully stand in front of my f***up, hands in the air, I’m guilty, regardless of how it happened … I’m guilty, I’m wrong.”

Hart went on to explain how his wife, Eniko, handled his misbehavior and admission of guilt: “You’re gonna get some s***, it’s a cold house, it’s a very cold house for a minute and rightfully so. There’s good days and bad days, take your humble pie … and eat it.”

The Breakfast Club attempted to get some details out of Hart on what exactly went down in Vegas. But the comedian said he’s legally barred from sharing certain things. Co-host Charlemagne Tha God asked Hart what he was drinking that night but got cut off: “I can’t even get into the f***ed-up status behind the whole thing, it’s a real federal investigation.” It was previously reported that the FBI was, in fact, investigating the incident.

Following Hart’s Instagram apology, his first wife, Torrei Hart, jumped into the fray with an interview on Inside Edition . She alleged that their marriage was also fraught with cheating. Soon enough, the internet was branding Eniko a home wrecker, one thing Hart won’t stand. He said, “Those titles of ‘home wrecker,’ ‘mistress,’ all that stuff was put out of an image that wasn’t true … that woman [Eniko] had nothing to do with me leaving my wife [Torrei], I’m separated. I was legally separated for a year before I even filed for divorce. I had tons of women during that time.”

But the fallout from his scandal didn’t only affect his wife. He also had to have a tough conversation with his kids, specifically his 12-year-old daughter. “Kids are on the internet,” he said. “I had to sit my daughter down and have a real talk. Here’s what dad did, I’m wrong, here’s why.”
