Kevin Hart, Chris Rock To Star In Netflix Comedy Doc ‘Headliners Only’

Last year, Kevin Hart and Chris Rock embarked on their Rock Hart: Only Headliners Allowed comedy tour, and will now give viewers a look behind the scenes.

Netflix has announced the comedians’ comedy documentary, Kevin Hart & Chris Rock: Headliners Only, coming to the streaming platform in December.

Per a press release, the doc highlights the comedians’ journey as they tour together while sharing “first hand accounts of their early lives, struggles, triumphs and their unbreakable brotherhood.”

The Netflix special is directed by Rashidi Harper, with production from Kevin Hart, Chris Rock, Bryan Smiley, Luke Kelly-Clyne, Malcolm Spellman, Oby M. Okoye, and Rashidi Harper.

Last year, Hart announced his joint tour with the Everybody Hates Chris creator on Instagram, writing: “When Chris and I realized we were both going to be on tour this year we immediately knew we needed to do something special. We have been friends and mentors to each other for 20 years, but we have never shared a headlining stage together – until now.”

He added, “I cannot think of a better way to celebrate the return of live comedy than to co-headline a show with my brother Chris Rock. This is a major moment in comedy and one for the history books.”

The actor, businessman and comedian showed his admiration for Rock on another level when he bought a goat to their Madison Square Garden show last year.

“He’s a large part of the reason that I am where I am today in my career just from his advice, his insight, et cetera, and he’s my G.O.A.T. He’s my guy, and I wanted him to feel that,” Hart said on The Tonight Show after the hilarious incident.

“In my mind, I thought the goat’s gonna come out and do a tight 2 minutes,” he went on. “Instead, he sh*t on Chris’ shoes. He destroyed Chris’ shoes. Chris had on some white moon boots, and the goat got him.”

Hart and Rock’s Headliners Only documentary premieres on Netflix Dec. 12. See the official trailer above.
