Yellowstone star Kevin Costner has been creating quite a stir when it comes to his love life this year. Fresh off his recent, seemingly contentious divorce from Christine Baumgartner, rumors have begun swirling about a potential new love interest in his life, singer Jewel. However, despite how cozy the two appeared while attending a tennis fundraiser over the weekend, it appears that Costner might not be completely ready to jump back into the deep end of the dating pool just yet.

Post-divorce, Costner was spotted in the Caribbean, sharing more than just the tropical sun with Jewel. The pair seemed at ease, almost as if they had hung out before, which fueled speculation that the two have been dating at least for some time under the radar. However, a source close to Jewel suggests this isn’t a case of “Foolish Games,” and the two don’t have any plans to rush into something more too quickly.

“They’re having fun, but it’s not serious,” a source close to the singer revealed to Daily Mail. “Jewel likes herself a man’s man and she is all about Kevin’s country western vibe,” the source explained of the country singer, who divorced her husband Ty Murray in 2014.

“They are not serious right now, but they are having fun.” The two didn’t seem to mind that everyone at the fundraiser, which took place on Richard Branson’s Necker Island, seeing the connection, either. Costner was photographed with his arms around Jewel at the event, and fellow party-goers couldn’t help but noticed the flirty vibe between the two.

Still, it’s easy to understand why Costner might not be diving head-first into a new relationship following his separation. Costner and Baumgartner, who were married in September 2004, had their share of ups and downs over their nearly two-decade-long union. Baumgartner filed for divorce in May 2023 after 18 years of marriage. Rumors of infidelity on both ends and fights about Costner’s Yellowstone shooting schedule allegedly instigating the separation.

As for what the future holds for Costner and Jewel, that remains to be seen. But for now, it appears that Costner is navigating this new chapter of his life at his own pace. While he may not be “Standing Still,” it seems he’s not quite ready to tell anyone that they were meant for him, at least not anytime in the near future.
