Kevin Costner Just Welcomed a New Addition to His Family & We’re Also 'Already in Love'
In the past year, Kevin Costner‘s life has gone through a series of changes. In addition to going through an extensive divorce process from his wife of 19 years, Christine Baumgartner, Costner has also gone all-in for his new project, a four-part series titled Horizon, and even reportedly started a new romance with singer Jewel.
Overall, it’s safe to say Costner is no stranger to change, and has been doing his best to embrace it instead. And, following that trend, the Dances With Wolves star recently announced the newest addition to his family: a white Labrador puppy!

Sharing the news to Instagram, Costner posted a series of pictures of him with his cute new family member. In the first picture, the actor is seen looking at the puppy while he runs around in the grass. In the second pic, Costner is seen snuggling with the pup on a sofa while he falls asleep. In the last photo, the adorable puppy is seen posing looking straight to he camera.
“Newest addition to the family,” Costner wrote in the caption. “I’m already in love with this special guy.” How adorable!
Prior to Costner’s new lab, sources indicated that things were getting serious between him and the other new addition in Costner’s life: Jewel. After all, nothing says “we’re getting serious” like spending New Year’s together, right?
And while their New Year’s celebration has yet to be confirmed, the Daily Mail reported that there’s a high chance they spent the beginning of 2024 together. At the time, Jewel was in Telluride, Colorado, performing a charity show for the organization Inspiring Children while Costner was seen in Aspen, Colorado, with a group of friends. With only four hours between them, a NYE rendezvous is not only possible, it’s likely!
As a reminder, the two confirmed their romance when photos of them cuddling together were leaked to TMZ in early Dec. 2023. Since then, they’ve kept their romance ultra-private, but insiders have often opened up about their blossoming relationship. With a new plus one by his side, a new puppy to cuddle with at home, it looks like Costner is embracing his new era!
