Despite being seen on a Hawaiian getaway with a friend of her ex-husband Kevin Costner, Christine Baumgartner testified in court under oath that Josh Connor is not her boyfriend.

During a divorce hearing in Santa Barbara, California on Thursday, Baumgartner was questioned about her July 2023 trip to Hawaii with Connor. The duo was photographed walking alongside the ocean with beaming smiles on their faces, suggesting a potential burgeoning relationship. However, TMZ reported that while on the stand, Baumgartner tearfully maintained she and Connor are just friends.

The outlet reports that Baumgartner outright stated Connor is not her boyfriend and claimed that she shared a room with one of her best friends — a woman — during the Hawaiian vacation.

When divulging she received $20,000 from Connor, Costner called him Baumgartner’s “boyfriend,” believing the two are more involved than they’re letting on. Baumgartner said Connor gave her the money because she was worried about her financial standing. She added that she gave $10,000 to her mother and returned the remaining $10,000 to Connor.

Since Baumgartner filed for divorce in May 2023, citing “irreconcilable differences,” she and Costner have been locked in a contentious court battle over both their divorce and child support. With the two at such odds on every aspect of untangling their life together, it’s looking like a long road ahead until Costner and Baumgartner finalize their marriage dissolution.
