Kevin Costner’s Ex-Wife Christine Baumgartner Reportedly Has a Rather Shocking Response to His New Romance
In case you missed it, one of the most shocking celebrity moments of 2023 was when pics of potentially new couple Jewel and Kevin Costner getting cozy together were leaked. They were seen getting cozy, and while their romance hasn’t hit the official mark yet (allegedly), his ex-wife Christine Baumgartner already has some thoughts about the romance.
And yes, it may not be what you expect.

Despite a rather contentious divorce, one of the couple’s closest pals recently spilled that she’s actually quite happy for the Yellowstone star.
“Christine said she’s not surprised that Kevin has moved on so quickly, but he didn’t need to make it so obvious by wrapping his arms around her,” an insider spilled to DailyMail. “She said she’s happy for him, but it still isn’t a great feeling seeing your ex with someone new.”
The pal also said Baumgartner is relieved Jewel isn’t a “fame seeker,” and seems like a “down-to-earth person, adding, “Christine said the last thing she wanted was for some fame seeker to come along and play mom to their three children. But Jewel has a son of her own, she has her own life and isn’t a gold digger. So that’s a relief.”
For those who don’t know, Costner and Baumgartner were together for four years before marrying on Sept 25, 2004. They share three children together named Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 13. However, Baumgartner filed for divorce in May of this year, and the pair finalized their divorce within months.
While they didn’t reveal the details about how they settled, we do know she vacated their $60 million mansion, and Costner has to pay her $63,000 a month in child support. (Baumgartner was initially awarded $129,000, but when she tried to increase it, the judge ruled in Costner’s favor.) Since then, they’ve been keeping their lives as separate as possible, but Costner’s new romance may change it all.
