Reneé Rapp invited the pop star onstage to sing an updated version of her 2009 hit.

Coachella saw no shortage of surprises, celebrity appearance, and special moments over its star-studded first weekend. Kesha hit up the festival for a cameo during Reneé Rapp's set — the hitmaker not only provided high-energy vibes while singing her breakthrough track, "Tik ToK," but also included a major kiss off to a controversial figure in the entertainment industry.

After an excited introduction from the Mean Girls star, Kesha came on to the stage with applause from the crowd. The pop star kicked off the track by saying "Wake up in the morning like fuck P. Diddy" and throwing up a middle finger to the air, much to delight of the cheering crowd.

The original lyrics to the 2009 song’s opening line features Kesha saying, “Wake up in the morning feeling like P. Diddy,” with a brief set of ad libs from the R&B and hip-hop producer accompanying the words.

This isn't the first time that Kesha has made a change to the lyrics of "Tik Tok" to send a message to the rapper. In November, she performed the track at Los Angeles’s Hollywood Palladium with a different edit to the song's opening line, instead singing “Wake up in the morning feeling just like me” and removing his name from the song entirely.

The song updates come amid recent allegations against P. Diddy — in November, Cassie Ventura filed a lawsuit against the producer in which she claimed she endured years of sexual, emotional, and physical abuse form him. Ventura's lawsuit was settled 24 hours after she filed, but several bombshells would later arrive in its place, ranging from the producer allegedly sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl to producer Lil Rod alleging Diddy participated in harassment, drug and sex trafficking, a shooting, and other criminal offenses.
