Kesha announces first solo tour since 2013

Kesha is hitting the road.

The singer on Tuesday announced her first solo tour since 2013. The Rainbow tour kicks off Sept. 26 in Birmingham, Alabama, and concludes Nov. 1 in Los Angeles. (The pop star will perform three September gigs before her tour begins in earnest.)

“My new album Rainbow is dedicated to my fans,” Kesha explained in a press release, “and I’m so excited to be able to invite you all to come boogie with me on my new Rainbow tour. I would not have made it to this point without my animals and supporters so now come out and join the celebration with me.”

According to a press release, Kesha will perform songs from Rainbow in addition to the hits that made her a household name.

The string of dates will follow the Aug. 11 release of Rainbow, which is Kesha’s first full-length in nearly five years and marks her return to music after becoming involved in an ongoing legal battle with producer and former collaborator Dr. Luke.
