Saxophone legend Kenny G's ex-wife just got herself a huge win in court, after he was ordered to pay over $300,000 of her attorney's fees.

According to new legal documents, obtained by The Blast, Kenny -- real name Kenneth Gorelick -- was told by the court to fork over a quarter of a million dollars to his ex-wife, Lyndie Benson. Plus, the judge said he will need to pay $75,00 more in future legal services.

As we reported, the musician split with his wife back in 2013 after over 23 years of marriage. But, recently he has gone to court and asked to lower the amount of monthly support he pays his ex-wife.

Now, if you are asking yourself why it cost him $300K to his ex-wife for attorney's fees to fight himself. Well, the answer is two-fold. First, according to California law, if you are a higher earner than your ex-wife, it is expected that you will cover the costs for an equal or lesser value of an attorney to negotiate a judgment and/or settlement. Of course, in this case, the court says Kenny G is 5 to 10 times higher of an earner than his ex-wife.

Second, Kenny is represented by Kim Kardashian's divorce lawyer -- Laura Wasser -- so Lyndie wanted one of the best lawyers in the country -- powerhouse family law attorney Samantha Spector. It cost money to hire the best.

Right now, Kenny is currently paying Lyndie $40,000 a month in spousal support. If you think that's high, the documents state that the saxophone legend is pulling in $600,000 in rental income from his properties. That's right 600K a MONTH!

At the moment, Kenny is arguing that he isn't able to pay the large amounts due to his age and lack of ability to tour like in the old days. In the filing, Kenny says, "Since approximately 2018, even before the covid pandemic, my income has substantially declined because l have not had as many touring opportunities as l used to have. And, when there are touring opportunities, the guarantees to me from each tour are becoming less and less. Historically, when l tour, the contract guarantees me a certain income from the tour. This guarantee percentage has gradually been reduced. Moreover, l am now 65 years old. Even when presented with touring opportunities, l am less inclined to take them at this age."

He added, "To date, l have paid Lyndie a total of $3,920,000 in spousal support alone. I have 2 also paid her $360,000 in child support which was terminated in 2015. In addition, in our divorce, Lyndie was awarded very substantial assets and funds."

It should be noted, at the time of the original divorce, it was reported that Kenny and Lyndie DID have a prenuptial agreement. The sax player was apparently worth over $50 Million. So, it seems he might have an uphill battle to stop paying his ex-wife.

The former couple is due back in court next month to argue over lowering the amount of spousal support.
