Kenny Chesney will be armed with his 20th studio album, "BORN," set for release on Mar. 29, 2024, when he embarks on a 23-date stadium tour between April and August 2024.

"BORN" details

For his first release since 2020's gold-selling release "Here and Now," the eight-time Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year offers, via an extensive press statement, that spending three years between releases has allowed him the opportunity to "create a set of songs that distills the essence of who he is, as well as so many of the people who embrace [his] music."

"I'm' just trying to find songs that continue the story of who we are…how we live, breathe, work, rock, kick back and sometimes get tangled up in feelings that are anything but simple."

2020's "Here and Now" featured a trio of top-10 singles: the gold-certified title song, "Happy Now" and "Knowing You." In the same album cycle, Chesney's Kelsea Ballerini duet "Half of My Hometown" joined "Happy Now" as a No. 1 single.

In his three-decade-long mainstream country career, Chesney has achieved nearly three dozen No. 1 hits, including "American Kids," "Here & Now," "Get Along," "You & Tequila," Somewhere With You," Save It For A Rainy Day" and "Beer In Mexico."

Regarding album topics for tracks including current top 25 country charter "Take Her Home" (about "three moments that define taking a risk and finding a life came from"), Chesney is keen to dive into the lives of those living in middle America.

"It doesn't take a lot to be happy, if you choose to seek it, just like the passion people beyond New York and L.A. employ every day is every bit as thrilling."

As for the album's title track, it's described as a soulful, banjo-driven track that "speaks the truth about living, life and what we're all doing here." The lyrics "throw out all the options, never tells you what to do and [highlights] the one existential truth no matter what you choose: 'one thing's for certain, we've all been living since the day we were born.'"

Sun Goes Down 2024 Tour

One of those previously-mentioned three-dozen hits, 2004's double-platinum-selling, six-week chart-topping Uncle Kracker duet "When The Sun Goes Down," provides the impetus for his 2024 set of dates. For those events, he'll be joined by the Zac Brown Band, Megan Moroney and yes, Uncle Kracker.

"I wanted a name that suggested — obviously — when all the good stuff starts to happen. The one thing I've learned about No Shoes Nation and these stadium shows is they start the good times early and they just keep it going," Chesney noted in a press statement.

"But we all know, when the sun goes down, that's when people really get loose and enjoy themselves," he added. "That was the thing about Uncle Kracker and my song. It captured a vibe and a moment so perfectly. No matter how much fun you're having all day long, 'everything gets hotter when the sun goes down…' I know from years of experience that's true."

Chesney — who is the only country artist to be on Billboard's Top 10 Touring Artists of the Last 25 Years — has dates kicking off on Apr. 20, 2024, at Tampa's Raymond James Stadium and closing out — unprecedentedly expanding upon tradition — with a trio of dates at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, on Aug. 23-25, 2024.

"I'm ready. [and have a] clear vision of what [my team and I are] trying to do."
