Kenny Chesney has some big tour plans in store for 2024, announcing a North American stadium trek for next spring and summer.

Chesney will not only headline the Sun Goes Down Tour, but will be joined by an all-star supporting cast, including Zac Brown Band, Megan Moroney, and Uncle Kracker. The run will kick off April 20 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, and dates are scheduled all the way through Aug. 23 at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

Tickets for the tour will go on sale next Friday, Nov. 17. Full details, and pre-sale information, is available on Chesney’s website.

The tour loosely takes its name form Chesney’s 2004 hit with Uncle Kracker, “When the Sun Goes Down” (both the single, and Chesney’s album of the same name, will celebrate their 20th anniversary next year, too). “I wanted a name that suggested – obviously – when all the good stuff starts to happen,” Chesney said in a statement. “The one thing I’ve learned about No Shoes Nation and these stadium shows is they start the good times early and they just keep it going. But we all know, when the sun goes down, that’s when people really get loose and enjoy themselves.”

He added: “That was the thing about Uncle Kracker and my song. It captured a vibe and a moment so perfectly. No matter how much fun you’re having all day long, ‘everything gets hotter when the sun goes down…’ I know from years of experience that’s true.”

Chesney spent a good chunk of 2023 on the road, touring some more far-flung markets on his “I Go Back” trek. Despite his consistent touring, the country star has been relatively quiet with new music. He hasn’t released a new album since 2020’s Here and Now, but scored a hit with Kelsea Ballerini on her 2021 song “Half of My Hometown.”
