Nicki Minaj’s husband is now facing more legal woes after a video of Kenneth Petty and his crew went viral.

According to court documents obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, Petty has been ordered to serve 120 days of home detention for violating the terms of his probation. In a court order filed on Wednesday (Sept. 20) in California, the New York-native was summoned to home monitoring. His violation includes “making threatening remarks to a specific individual while in the company of someone with a criminal record.” The specific individual is rapper Offset.

On Saturday (Sept. 16), a video surfaced of Minaj’s husband and his crew posted outside of a building and claiming to be looking for Offset.

“You gonna be planning your funeral, pu**y,” Petty could be seen and heard saying in the clip. Another man added, “They wanted to come at me at the VMAs, man. We ain’t even do nothing to nobody.” Just before the clip ended, another man can be heard saying, “Don’t make us put you off the set, ni***a.”

Following the video, the former Migos member posted a clip from a private jet laughing and saying, “We hopping off jets… [they] standing outside,” leading many to believe he was talking about Petty and his crew.

In July 2022, Petty was sentenced to three years’ probation for failing to register as a sex offender in the state of California in 2020 after a 1995 conviction of first-degree attempted rape of a 16-year-old girl. At the age of 16, Petty spent four years in prison in New York.

Nicki Minaj and Petty wed in 2019, and has since given birth to one son whom they call “Papa Bear.” The couple reportedly met in high school but lost touch over the years, before reconnecting.
