Kendrick Lamar Portrait to Hang in U.S. Capitol

By Matthew Strauss.

The Congressional Art Competition is an annual contest for high school students to submit their works of art to their respective congressional representatives for a chance to be put on display at the United States Capitol for one year. Among the 2017 winners is Tiona Cordova, a student at Centennial High School in Pueblo, Colorado, as XXL points out. Her piece, called Utmost Appreciation, is a portrait of Kendrick Lamar. Check it out below, via her representative Scott Tipton’s Instagram.

Kendick Lamar’s excellent new record, DAMN., came out this past April. He is set to tour behind the album this summer. Find his schedule here.
