Kendrick Lamar Closes In On Los Angeles Mansion Worth Over $40 Million

Kendrick Lamar is closing in on purchasing a massive estate in Los Angeles worth over $40 million.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the rapper is eyeing a property in the affluent Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles that has eight bedrooms and is 16,000 square feet. In addition to the main house, the mansion also boasts a wine cellar, fitness center, swimming pool, and guesthouse.

The home is currently owned by a trust tied to Viet Dinh, former chief legal and policy officer at Fox Corp., and his wife, Jennifer Ashworth Dinh. The couple bought the home for $19.5 million in 2019, prior to his role in a legal strategy that resulted in a historic settlement agreement between Fox Corp. and Dominion Voting Systems.

The Dinh’s reportedly declined to comment on the pending sale, and Lamar couldn’t immediately be reached for comment. If Lamar’s acquisition goes through, it would be among the most expensive real estate purchases in Los Angeles of 2024 thus far.

The past few months have been a whirlwind for Kendrick Lamar, as the rap star found himself embroiled in a beef with fellow hitmaker Drake that boiled over after years of competitive tension between the two. In March, Lamar appeared on Metro Boomin and Future’s single “Like That,” on which he sent direct shots at both Drake and J. Cole in response to their 2023 collaboration, “First Person Shooter.”

Drake then returned with the release of his own diss “Push Ups,” which sparked several responses from each side. Lamar clapped back with the scathing cuts “Euphoria,” “6:16 In LA,” and “Meet The Grahams.”

However, Lamar’s latest retort, “Not Like Us,” has become the biggest solo hit of his career, skyrocketing to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and breaking numerous streaming records.
