Kendall Jenner Talks About Growing Up A Tomboy

Kendall Jenner is only 21 years old, but the supermodel has accomplished feats that range from amassing millions of followers on all social media platforms to walking runways for storied fashion houses around the world. She also seems to have no escape from the public eye, with her private life closely examined on the hit reality TV series Keeping Up With the Kardashians. And while she stars alongside Kim, Kourtney, Khloe and Kylie, Kendall admits that she doesn’t always relate to her glam-living, Instagram-documenting sisters.
“I’ve always been the different one,” she says in a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar. “I mean, I’m a girl, and I like being a girl, but I’ve just never been into it like they have. I think I get that from my dad. I’d say I’m more of a Jenner than a Kardashian.”
Because of her profession, Kendall is now more likely to be caught attending Fashion Week than riding dirt bikes, but the supermodel still insists on her camo shorts over a face full of makeup. “I was a huge tomboy,” she adds. “I had a phase where I wore boys’ clothes. I was always hanging out with guys. I’ve always connected with guys more.”
Though now that she can count Gigi Hadid and Hailey Baldwin in her circle of friends, it looks like Kendall has the best of both worlds.
