Former WWF Intercontinental Champion Ken Shamrock seems to have rekindled ties with WWE after more than two decades. Shamrock, known as ‘The World’s Most Dangerous Man’ during his initial WWE run from 1997-99, captured both the Intercontinental and Tag Team Championships alongside Big Boss Man. He also reigned as King of the Ring in 1998.

A year later, Shamrock left WWE to return to mixed martial arts, where he competed in UFC and Bellator. Furthermore, he went on to achieve legendary status in the UFC, eventually being inducted into their Hall of Fame.

Following his departure from WWE, Ken Shamrock found success in mixed martial arts. He also made sporadic returns to wrestling in 2002 in TNA, NJPW, and various other independent promotions. Although Shamrock has not graced the WWE stage since his departure, recent reports suggest that ‘The World’s Most Dangerous Man’ could return to WWE after two decades.

According to PWInsider, Ken Shamrock and WWE may have “come to terms on some sort of deal.” The report goes on to suggest that this could be a Legends contract for the former star. Moreover, new merchandise of Shamrock can be spotted on the WWE Shop.

With recent reports suggesting that Ken Shamrock, who is now 59, has come to terms on some sort of deal with WWE, fans are left wondering if the former Intercontinental Champion is returning to the action.

As WrestleMania 40 approaches, and with Ken Shamrock signing a Legends deal, he could very well be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame next year. However, fans might have to wait and see if he decides to step into the ring.

Shamrock had his final match at Battleground Championship Wrestling in August 2022, where he defeated Harry Smith in a singles match. Since then, Ken Shamrock hasn’t stepped into the squared circle. Only time will tell what the future holds for The World’s Most Dangerous Man and WWE. However, the news of his reappearance has sent excitement down among WWE fans who await his return.
