Kelsey Asbille Drops a Big Clue About Monica and Kayce's Marriage in 'Yellowstone' Season 5

Yellowstone season 5 is so close yet so far. Luckily, while fans wait to hear more exciting details about new episodes from Paramount Network, Yellowstone cast member Kelsey Asbille is opening up about what viewers can expect to see next from her character Monica Dutton and Monica's husband Kayce (Luke Grimes).

Although there are several storylines folks are eager to watch unfold in the Western drama, many were left on the edge of their seats when Kayce shared his heartbreaking vision with Monica. In the Yellowstone season 4 finale, Kayce returned from his three-day cleansing ritual visibly upset. “What did you see,” Monica asked him. “I saw the end of us,” he said. Kayce didn’t elaborate what he meant, but given that he’s expecting another child with Monica, it was difficult for everyone to digest. Unsurprisingly, fans immediately started theorizing that it could mean the end of Kayce and Monica’s relationship, and that Avery (Tanaya Beatty) has something to do with it.

As fans know, Kayce found himself in the middle of a love triangle when the former ranch hand professed her love for him. Despite rejecting her advances, one of his visions was about Avery. Whether or not the Dutton family member shares this detail with his wife is unknown, but according to Kelsey, viewers won’t have to wait much longer to see how the couple handles the obstacle.

Speaking with TV Insider, Kelsey revealed that Monica will contemplate Kayce's words. “Do you mean the end of us? Or is it a larger picture?” Kelsey told the outlet. “She really lets that moment sit and we’ll definitely address it in the next season.”

So, what will Yellowstone fans see in season 5? “She’s going to have a cute baby bump,” the actress told the site. “I think that’s all that I can say. I have started reading the scripts.” Kelsey shared that after reading about the vision, she and Luke went to Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan to find out what it meant.

It's only a matter of time before viewers will be looped in. Most recently, Variety confirmed exciting information about Yellowstone season 5. Per the outlet, production kicked off in May and fans will be treated to a bigger season comprised of 14 episodes instead of the usual 10 (though it will be split into "two seven-episode offerings").

In the meantime, Kelsey dropped another breadcrumb for folks to mull over. By the sound of it, Kayce might be bumping heads with his longtime sweetheart. “Each season is different,” she said. “You evolve and change over time, so I think season 5 Monica is going to be a different Monica, for sure.”
