Kelly Rowland joined a bevy of stars on Tuesday for the red carpet premiere of “Marcello Mio” at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival. The singer fashioned a dazzling, custom look in a fiery red hue, accessorizing with glittering jewels and a coordinated clutch.
Rowland wore a custom strapless, chiffon gown in bright red courtesy of Kolkata-based designer Anamika Khanna. The flowing, airy dress featured a sweetheart neckline and layers of draped fabric. The gown also included a small train that cascaded behind Rowland as she walked the red carpet.

Red is a hue that’s been working for Rowland as of late. Prior to her appearance on the 2024 Cannes Film Festival red carpet, the singer attended a Baby2Baby press conference on maternal health in Los Angeles on May 8. For the occasion, Rowland wore a button-up blouse courtesy of Valentino‘s 2024 resort collection.
The look featured a rosette appliqué on the collar. The former Destiny’s Child member added a pair of crepe shorts in a matching hue, which included a gold “V” detail on the waistline. Rowland completed her look with red pumps and gold jewelry, creating a monochrome look with gold accents.
The 77th annual Cannes Film Festival occurs from May 14 to 25. “Barbie” director Greta Gerwig serves as the jury president for this year’s festival, held in the South of France. Several high-profile premieres, including Francis Ford Coppola’s “Megalopolis” and “Furiosa” starring Anya Taylor-Joy, are expected to take place, while Meryl Streep will receive an honorary Palme d’Or.
