Kelly Rizzo is getting candid about her grieving process.

In a video posted to her TikTok account, the Eat Travel Rock founder, 44, opened up about how she's been coping since her husband Bob Saget in January 2022 at age 65, saying that she's "taken for granted" that she didn't have to go through the process with young children.

"I don’t have kids. I don’t want kids. I don’t think that’s a secret. But I just wanted to say how much I’ve taken for granted having to go through the grief process that I went through and not having children," Rizzo began in the video.

"It’s hard enough just having to take care of yourself and I just want to say that it just kind of hit me today of what that would be like, to actually have children, especially young children," she continued. "That not only do you have to take care of yourself, which is the hardest thing to do because all you want to do is curl up in a ball, but now you also have to take care of your kids."

Adding that "of course" she has three stepdaughters — Aubrey, 36, Lara, 33, and Jennifer Saget, 30 — Rizzo said that because they're older and adults, the four of them were able to take care of each other.

"But it just blows my mind to see parents who have lost a spouse, but then they have to take care of their kids," Rizzo shared. "And I have some very dear friends who have been through that and I just want to say, god bless you all because to have gone through this journey and not just have to worry about yourself but to make sure that your kids are okay too is just a whole different level and very under-appreciated I would say, especially for myself because I only had to worry about myself."

"So now I’m just saying to all the parents that have had to do this, I see you and I don’t know how you do it.”

Rizzo previously said that she is still very close with Saget's daughters, sharing that she asked them for their input before competing on Special Forces: World's Toughest Test.

"I'm like, 'You guys are okay with me doing this right?' " she told PEOPLE at a Los Angeles press event for Special Forces. "And they're like, 'Yeah, it looks cool.' And I was like, 'You think your dad would be okay with me doing this? Right?' And they're like, 'Yeah, we think he'd be proud. He'd think you're crazy, but we think he'd be proud.'"

"So getting that vote of confidence from them too really helped me make the decision," she added.
