Kelly Rizzo Celebrates Late Husband Bob Saget's Would-Be 68th Birthday: 'Forever Celebrated, Forever Loved'

Since Saget's death in 2022, Rizzo has gone on to find new love, going Instagram official with actor Breckin Meyer on May 8

On what would have been Bob Saget's 68th birthday, his widow Kelly Rizzo is reflecting on the last celebration they shared on his special day.

In a tribute posted to Instagram on May 17, Rizzo shared a video from the last time the two went out to dinner for the occasion.

"Forever celebrated, forever loved, forever remembered, forever in all of our hearts," she wrote in the caption. "Happy Birthday. Forever grateful for these memories, and this last birthday celebration together. Forever happy I got to see a smile on his face and happiness in his eyes. Look at how happy he was 🥹🎂❤️."

Saget could be seen accepting a slice of cake with a sparkler. As he waited for the light to blow out, he smiled and held the confection away from his face.

"I will tell you a cute story about this night," Rizzo continued, pointing out a band-aid on Saget's arm. "During dinner he got a mosquito bite and kept scratching it until it bled…"

The Eat Travel Rock creator recalled how "four different restaurant workers frantically got him a Band-Aid" when the Full House alum approached the front desk. As if they were "performing surgery," Rizzo detailed how they applied the bandage on his arm.

"It caused such a scene- and he came back to the table with this little Band-Aid and we both laughed because it was so silly," she concluded.

Rizzo wasn't the only one commemorating Saget's would-be birthday. His former Full House costar Jodie Sweetin shared a video montage on Instagram, writing, "Happy Birthday, @bobsaget There’s not a day I don’t think of you."

Replying in the comments section, Rizzo wrote: "❤️❤️❤️🥹🥹🥹."

"Happy birthday Bob ❤️❤️❤️🕊️," fellow series alum Candace Cameron Bure captioned her own Instagram video tribute, to which Rizzo responded, "This is so beautiful, Candace ❤️."

Alongside a sweet video tribute of her own, Andrea Barber wrote: "Happy heavenly birthday, Bob. Love you. 🕊️."

"Today would have been my brother, Bobs birthday," Dave Coulier captioned his tribute post, featuring an Instagram video filled with memories. "Missing him. ❤️❤️."

On January 9, Saget died at age 65 after suffering blunt head trauma following a fall in a Florida hotel. The couple had been married since 2018.

Since then, Rizzo has gone on to find love again with Breckin Meyer.

The two made their first public appearance as a couple at Steven Tyler's annual Grammy Awards viewing party on Feb. 4, 2024. Earlier this month, Rizzo and Meyer went Instagram official on his 50th birthday.

For the occasion, the Comfort Food podcast host shared an Instagram selfie of the couple together at the recent F1 Grand Prix in Miami.
