Kelly Ripa tries to set Sharon Stone up with 26-year-old son: 'I would love for you to be my daughter-in-law'

Ripa floated the idea to the Oscar-nominated actress on her "Let's Talk Off Camera" podcast.

Kelly Ripa really wants Sharon Stone to become her daughter-in-law.

On the latest episode of Ripa's Let's Talk Off Camera podcast, the talk show host and actress revealed to the Basic Instinct star that her two sons with husband Mark Consuelos — Michael, 26, and Joaquin, 20 — both have major crushes on Stone, despite the four-decade age gap.

"I wish I could introduce you to my children because my sons — as you know, we've discussed this over DMs — are very dichotomous in their personalities," Ripa told Stone. "They are not similar in any way. They disagree on everything except the hotness of Sharon Stone."

Whenever the boys watch Stone's films, they scoff at her onscreen love interests, according to Ripa. "If my boys walk in, they're like, 'Yeah right, as if Robert De Niro would ever be able to get her,'" Ripa said, mimicking them. "'Yeah right, like Joe Pesci would have a chance with Sharon Stone.'"

Stone, 65, noted in response that many of her love interests were 25 to 30 years older than her, mirroring dating patterns in Hollywood. "It was true to life," she said. "These women always were 20, 25, 30 years younger than the men [they dated], but if we dated someone 10 years younger we'd be cougars."

Ripa then quipped, "Sharon, I could set you up with my son right now. He's 26. I would love for you to be my daughter-in-law. That would be the greatest honor of our family."

While Stone conceded that she has dated men whose mothers were her age in the past, she said she wouldn't currently date anyone under the age of 45. (Sorry, Michael.)

During an episode of Live With Kelly and Mark last month with guest Lisa Rinna, Ripa admitted that "for years" she also tried to set her boys up with Rinna's daughters. Noting to Rinna that her daughter Amelia "is so reminiscent" of her, Ripa said, "Then one day, Amelia like, burst onto the runway — I think it was her first fashion show — and I was like, 'Never mind, he wouldn't know what to do with that.' I texted [Rinna] like, 'Forget it, he wouldn't know.'"
