Kelly Ripa has been sharing all sorts of holiday-inspired Instagram posts this month, including one of her amazing Christmas tree. Her most recent post was a selfie she took in the mirror of her bedroom. In it, she's wearing a red skirt and a top that appears to have Santa on it.
"Not big on fashion selfies, but I’ve lived in this house for 11 years and JUST discovered a full length mirror behind the bedroom door. Plus i like this outfit," she wrote." Ripa added "#tbt yesterday," letting fans know this was her outfit for Christmas Day.
Most fans loved the look, but there was a troll who took issue. "Purple and red? Not my taste.. to each their own," someone named Sandy commented along with a thumbs down emoji.
"The top is gray sandy. Now do you approve?" Ripa clapped back.
Fans quickly chimed in. "I really really hope Sandy is happy!!!!" one said.
"I think it looks beautiful and I don’t understand why people feel the need to comment how they don’t like something. Keep scrolling Sandy nobody asked you! Geez," another replied.
"I really can’t rest until sandy sees this," someone else joked.
Eventually, Sandy did return to the comments to defend herself from the onslaught. "Ever hear Freedom of speech? Get informed," she said to one person.
"yes, absolutely...looked purple and wondered how you liked it as you are usually on point," Sandy said directly to Ripa.
Ripa and husband Mark Consuelos talked to Us Weekly recently about their holiday plans this year.
"As the kids are getting older … we know that these holidays are going to be almost coming up on the last we can all kind of dictate where they spend their holidays and [will] have to share that with their new families," Consuelos told the outlet.
“In the blink of an eye, your kids grow up and suddenly you are begging them to spend time with you,” Ripa said. "The older [our kids] get, I think the more they realize how fortunate they’ve been all of their lives. I think the more involved in community service they are, the more the realization sort of hits home."
