Kelly Ripa is spending some time with her daughter across the pond.

On Monday's episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, Ripa, 53, discussed her weekend trip to London where she spent time with her daughter Lola, 22. Chatting with co-host and husband Mark Consuelos, 52, Ripa says she went to England to help her daughter find an apartment.

"I was in London, our daughter — as you know — is moving to London, so I went to help her find a flat," Ripa explains. "Which, you know, we all speak English but our languages are completely separate. The terminology. The let — you’re not a renter, you’re a letter. So when they were talking about ‘letting,’ I was like, ‘What are we letting? What are we about to let happen?’"

"It’s nice that you got to spend time. Like, a girl’s trip with your daughter. That’s so cool," Consuelos says.

"We were saying that we’ve never had just a mother-daughter trip, just the two of us, that didn’t involve like, either, work or some sporting event or being surrounded by other kids or a younger sibling or an older sibling. It was just us. We had the best time. She is so much fun," the mom of three says.

"She’s a good time Charlie," Consuelos responds.

"I keep telling her, ‘You have to earn a lot of money, ‘cause the way you live…’" she jokes.

"Did you look at her boyfriend and tell him that?" Consuelos asks.

"No, I told her that because she’s going to have to earn all the money. And it made me very proud of her because she had a self-assurance and self-reliance that I’m sure we both had, but I’ve forgotten. It’s so far in my rear-view mirror," Ripa says.

"‘Cause when you’re young, nothing seems impossible. Nothing seems impossible, and then it’s beaten out of you," the Riverdale actor responds.

"Yes. As you get older, you’re like, ‘We can’t do that, we can’t go there!’ But even walking, we stayed in this hotel that has a really beautiful spa. But I could not figure out how to access the spa, so I quickly gave up. And Lola was like, ‘Mom, follow me.’ She just kept on dragging me around everywhere," Ripa says.

"She loves that city," Consuelos responds.

"She dragged me around everywhere and the next thing you knew, not only were we in the spa — we were not members, but somehow Lola got us into the spa — we were in the sauna, we were by the pool, we were ordering tea. We were not members, but she talked us in there, because that’s something, when you’re young, you have the ability to do. Whereas I kept apologizing for everything," Ripa tells her husband.

"Did you guys have nice meals? You went to see a show, right?" Consuelos asks.

"We went, ugh, we went to see our good friend Jake Shears is starring in Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club. It was extraordinary, he is breathtaking. And I would say he’s an amazing performer, to see him live is incredible," Ripa says. "But to see him live in the Emcee in Cabaret during this time that we are in was extraordinary. And he is transcendent in his performance...It is a must-see. And god love him, Lola’s boyfriend thought we were going to see a cabaret show. He misunderstood what I was saying."

"‘Cause you guys speak different languages," Consuelos says.

"We both speak English but he’s British and I’m American. So I was explaining to him — he thought we were going to Paris to see the Crazy Horse," Ripa explains. "He thought we were going to see a girlie show. I was like, ‘No, it’s the show Cabaret, do you know what it’s about?’"

"And he was like, ‘No, is it about a cabaret show?’ I was like ‘No, you should just watch it and if you have questions, I’ll explain it to you.’ But he was blown away. And then, Lola the entire show is like, ‘I know that girl.’ She keeps telling me that she knows a girl in the show. And I’m like, ‘I’m sure you do not.’ Sure enough, one of her best girlfriends from high school’s oldest sister is in the show. I could not believe it. She’s extraordinary."

"I can’t wait. So we get to visit her," Consuelos says.

"We get to visit our daughter in London. Which is a great excuse to go to London!" Ripa tells her husband.

"I’m so glad you had that time together. That’s really, really special," Consuelos says.

"And, it’s Christmas there already. Halloween is not really, it’s a thing that happens in the American expat neighborhoods, it’s not really at thing there," Ripa says. "So you go into the shops and it’s full Christmas. And you know me, I like an extension. I like a Christmas extension."

"So I was very happy...I have photos to show you, I’ll show you tomorrow. I need Lola’s approval. Obviously, we’re in different time zones and she’s looking at a flat right now and couldn’t get into my photos. So tomorrow, you will see our trip to London," Ripa tells Consuelos.

In addition to daughter Lola, Ripa and Consuelos share sons Joaquin, 20, and Michael, 26.
