Kelly Ripa has revealed the secret to her 24-year marriage. The "Live! With Kelly and Ryan host" personally referred to her two+ decades with husband Mark Conseulos as a "marathon," speaking Friday on her popular daytime series.
Kelly, 49, spoke candidly.
"You're going to fight, you're going to have disagreements. Relationships, marriages are not sprints, it's a marathon," the star said.
Kelly has been married to the 49-year-old "Riverdale" actor since 1996 – the couple met on the set of "All My Children" (and are now parents to all their own, with three children).
Mile 24 Would Be When You're Like, 'I Quit'
Kelly kept going with the marathon analogy.
"There's going to be like, mile 24, when you're like, I quit. But you just got to push through. Just push through," she continued, also adding:
"There's really nothing that's that insurmountable, besides abuse or things of that nature. You're going to fight. You're going to have disagreements. You're going to fundamentally not agree on things."
As to how Kelly knew that Mark was the one, the talk show host has previously revealed that it didn't take much.
Knew She'd Marry Mark 'When I Saw His Photograph'
Kelly only needed one look at hunky husband Mark to know that he was the one.
"When I saw him, the photograph of him, I saw my entire future with him flash before -- like I saw it. And I don't believe in any of that and now I do because of that moment," the star said back in 2018.
Kelly and Mark are parents to 18-year-old daughter Lola Grace, plus sons Joaquin and Michael.
Lola recently made headlines for having her debit card canceled after Kelly and Mark discovered she was ordering in pricey Postmates orders at NYU.
FaceTiming With Mark At All Hours Of The Night
January 2019 saw Kelly profiled by The Cut. At the time, Mark was out in Vancouver, Canada, shooting for "Riverdale."
"We definitely text a lot because usually one of us is on set and I’m three hours ahead of him, time-wise. On Riverdale, they shoot at night a lot. He’s usually working at 2, 3, 4 in the morning. Sometimes it’s great for me because I’m up and on my way to work and sometimes it’s in the middle of the night. When we have the time, we FaceTime, and it’s great to see him," Kelly told the media outlet.
Thinks He Looks Way Better On FaceTime – She Looks Like A 'Troll'
Kelly didn't seem too keen on how she looks while FaceTiming with her husband.
"He looks much better on FaceTime than I do and have photographic evidence of this. I like to screengrab us and show him how handsome he looks versus what a troll I look like in the corner," the star added.
Kelly and Mark have one of the longest-lasting marriages in Hollywood – the industry itself is notorious for its short-lasting marriages. The couple joins other long-lasting ones such as Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith, plus David and Victoria Beckham.
