Holiday baking is a family affair for the Ripa-Consuelos clan!

On Tuesday morning, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos were joined on Live with Kelly and Mark by two of their kids, Michael and Lola to bake a festive, family-favorite sweet — “the Consuelos’ gingerbread cookies.”

“Well, well, well. The chickens are back in the coop for the holidays,” Ripa, 53, began the segment.

Before they jumped into baking, the kids each gave the audience a quick life update, at the request of Consuelos, 52.

Michael, 26, shared that he has been living in Brooklyn, New York and producing for the Real Housewives for about two years, joking that he’s “still sane."

Lola, 22, who recently moved to London, revealed she has been making new music.

Tthe family then shared why they chose to make gingerbread cookies — which are “Michael’s favorite,” per Consuelos.

According to Michael, he proposed they “do gingerbread” for the Kelly and Mark segment, and his family did not offer any other ideas. “So, that’s why we’re doing it,” he added.

Then, Lola began giving instructions for the recipe — starting with preheating the oven — as Ripa joked, “And Lola, do you know which device in here is an oven?”

Ripa and Consuelos proceeded to mix up the ingredients as Michael cheered them on, saying “You’re doing great.”

As Lola continued the instructions, Ripa teased her again. “Lola, do you know what you're saying or are you just saying words?”

"Unlike you two, this is not my first cookie,” the co-host joked.

When it came time to roll the dough, Ripa switched targets, teasing her husband instead: “Mark, you have a lot of aggression, you do that."

After a commercial break, the family finished up by decorating the gingerbread people, including a “little Joaquin" — a cookie Consuelos modeled after the couple’s 20-year-old son who did not appear on the show.

Earlier this month, the Kelly and Mark hosts shared their 2023 holiday card in a joint post on Instagram.

Absent from this year’s card were their three kids. Instead, Ripa and Consuelos chose a parents-only shot so they could poke fun at the fact that all three of their kids have moved out of the house.

"Happy Holidays," they wrote. "Love the Empty Nesters.”
