Kelly Ripa doesn’t hold back while interrogating new 'Bachelor' couple

This season of The Bachelor ended in a very interesting twist, and if you’ve been hiding under a rock for the past 72 hours, sorry — spoiler alert!

Arie Luyendyk Jr. proposed to Becca Kufrin during the first part of the finale — only to take back that proposal and tell her that he was still in love with runner-up Lauren Burnahm and that he wanted to try out a relationship with her. Then last night, Arie got down on one knee (again) and popped the question to Lauren. Since the cat’s out of the bag, and the world now knows the truth, Arie and Lauren are doing their civic duty and making media rounds to talk about the dramatic ending to this season of The Bachelor.

But during a stop on Live with Kelly and Ryan, Kelly Ripa got fired up while talking to the newly engaged couple. She started the interview by saying she wanted to “understand everything, your thought process, what’s wrong with you … what are you thinking, how did this happen, are you as shady as I think you are?” Kelly continued to bombard them with questions, visibly getting frustrated by the outcome of this season. Ryan Seacrest tried to calm down Kelly and interject at points during the interview, but failed.

But Kelly’s feelings on the couple didn’t air once Live finished taping this morning. A fan commented on the show’s Instagram post, writing, “I give them 100 days.” To which Kelly replied, “you’re being generous.”
