“I try never to turn around and look in the mirror, ever, if I’m naked.”

Kelly Ripa and Demi Moore are spilling the tea about the physical toll of aging.

In a new episode of the Live with Kelly and Mark host’s podcast Let’s Talk Off Camera, Ripa lamented her body’s appearance in her birthday suit. “I try never to turn around and look in the mirror, ever, if I'm naked,” she said. “I'm like, ‘Is that a dunked teabag? No, that is my body.’”

Moore attempted to reassure the host. “Your body is ridiculous,” she said. “You haven’t seen it naked,” Ripa replied. “Okay, next time I come over, we're gonna have naked time,” Moore responded jokingly.

Ripa had previously shot down Moore’s own complaints about her aging body. “I'm sorry, I've seen you naked,” Ripa said. “You of all people don't get to complain about skin. You have been blessed.”

Ripa did concede that the difficulty of aging has softened in the 21st century, however. “Women in their 50s and 60s and 70s are now keeping themselves —  thanks to diet, exercise, fitness routines, modern medicine — women are much younger, they look younger, they feel younger, they have the vitality of a much younger person,” she said. "And 20s and 30-year-olds are still beating the s--- out of themselves. Time hasn’t caught up with them yet.”

Moore also discussed how aging has affected her acting career, and how Hollywood has changed as she’s gotten older. “When I hit 40, I feel like they didn’t know what to do with me, she said. “Now, I feel like women in their 40s, it’s a shift in perception that’s occurred, but I was part of the transitioning crowd, and there was a little bit of, like, ‘we don’t have anything for you.’”

“What’s been interesting seeing the shift that we’ve gone through… part of what’s happened with streamers is the realization that there’s a huge demographic that wants to be served that’s powerful women,” Moore continued. “And in some cases, women not 30, women not 40. Women in their 50s, 60s, 70s, and it’s exciting.”
