Kelly Ripa fused spooky with some playful Scrooge (in the most hilarious way) this Halloween.

After fronting nearly 50 costume changes on Live's annual Halloween episode, the TV personality and her husband-cohost, Mark Consuelos, reflected on Ripa's not-so-jovial experience handing out candy to local New York City children.

Ripa began Wednesday's episode by revealing that she prepared for the invasion of neighborhood kids by buying out an entire stock of a local store's candy bags so she could cover all her bases by handing out a collection of sweets versus just single bars.

"I put two candy bars in each bag," Ripa said. "I was tired of the ingrate children going, 'I don't like that candy bar. Can I have this candy bar?' This way, you get a bag, move on."

But Ripa had another problem when she ran out of bags. So she was forced to return to single servings.

"And then it was, 'I don't like Twix. Can I have a Kit Kat? My brother can't have peanuts,'" she said, feigning a whiny child's high-pitched voice.

Thankfully, her magic worked and did wonders for the family's household, as the couple shared a photo from their front stoop that appeared to show a swarm of locals crowded around their porch to collect their Halloween haul.

Ripa's tale marks the latest in a line of home-based horrors she and Consuelos have revealed on Live this year, including their story about hypocritical neighbors who filed a noise complaint against them and the time Consuelos' bad driving led to the decimation of their garage door.

Elsewhere on the Live Halloween episode, Ripa and Consuelos performed multiple costume changes, transforming into everyone from Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce to Jennifer Coolidge and the stars of The Golden Bachelor.
