Kelly Osbourne is opening up about a movie executive telling her she was “too fat” as a kid.

On the Tuesday, May 21 episode of The Osbournes Podcast, the 39-year-old told her family about the insult and how she needed to lose weight to be successful.

“When I was a kid, I got pulled into the head of the agency's office and he was putting golf balls into a cup and gave me a whole speech about how I was too fat for TV and I needed to lose weight, and that if I lost weight, I would look better,” she recalled.

The TV personality, who decided to not publicly name the executive, said the incident happened after she was cast in Disney's 2003 adaptation of Freaky Friday starring Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis.

“I just booked a movie with Lindsay Lohan, Freaky Friday. I was gonna play her best friend, and then it was right before mom got diagnosed with cancer, so I quit,” she explained. “And he was just saying, ‘You're not a movie star, but you could be one if you lost weight.’ "

Her brother Jack, 38, quickly chimed in and said that’s “the most L.A. s--- ever.”

“I know,” Kelly agreed. “As he's putting golf balls into a cup in his office. And I was just, like, this is the most insulting f------ [thing]."

Kelly has been vocal about some of the body-shaming comments she’s received over the years.

As a guest on the Scheananigans podcast in September 2023, the reality star admitted to host Scheana Shay that she kept a low profile during her pregnancy and "hid for nine months" to avoid any negative comments.

At the time, Kelly posted sonogram photos showing just her face, prompting a critic to ask why. She responded by saying she didn't want to endure any fat-shaming after welcoming her baby.

Despite conversations about her appearance, Osbourne has been open about her weight gain and weight loss. In 2020, she openly discussed her gastric sleeve procedure, emphasizing that there's no single "right way" to achieve weight loss.

"The road to happiness is different for everybody. I think that instead of picking apart the journey, they should just be happy that you reached your destination,” Osbourne stated in an interview on Hollywood Raw with Dax Holt and Adam Glyn.
